I accidently made a password for azureus the bitttorent client and I dont know what it is. I tried reinstalling it but the password doesn't go away. Anyone have any ideas on how to reset the password.

Thanx

Uninstall the client, and delete its directory in program files.

In regedit, head to HKLM\software and look for the azureus folder. Delete it. Do the same thing in HKCU\software.

Reinstall.

how do I get to those two places is it in HKEY_current_user?

I searched for Hklm and hkcu but didnt find anything

This is my first time editing the registry I went to run and typed regedit and then got into the regedit program but then I get lost.

the folder isn't there when the program is uninstalled only when it is installed. Tried deleting it when the program was installed but it didn't work.

Azureus is a java program if that makes any difference.
thanx

Did you have no luck with the registry? Search for all files named "azureus" on your hard drive, including in hidden and system folders. It probably dumped an INI into the windows directory somewhere.

I found it thanx a lot there was a config file in documents and settings. Thanks a lot for your help.
