Password Folder

Is it possible to password/encrypt a folder but still have it accessable when I am loged in? I run Windows XP.

Assuming you use your own user account that's password protected, and you're using XP Pro, and NTFS on your drives, that you can set up user access rights for certain folders.
 
You can use EFS if you have XP Pro. However, since no one seems to backup their certificate, it's not the best idea for novices.

Like djnes said, create seperate user accounts and deny all to everyone except your account to the folder. Safe safe pr0n.

Yeah, let's take a moment to highlight this:

IF YOU ENCRYPT ANYTHING, BACK UP YOUR CERT SOMEWHERE OFFLINE.

Given how cheap CDRs are, I'd do it a few times.
 
I have XP Home.
Does using "Make this folder private" under the sharing tab work? Do I need to back something up with that?

Sometimes you'd just rather not share your files with anyone. Install this freeware, right-click on any file, and encrypt it using a 160-bit key.
