password changed?

Wanted to know if you all could look into why my old password did not work today when i woke up? I was able to reset the password but still odd that the password i used for a few months did not work.

Judging by the current online user count, I'd say everyone had their PW's changed. Possible compromise overnight?

lets not go getting cray cray... It's possible they changed the password requirements. I will admit my password was not strong / secure at all.

The point of my post is to confirm that was the case or not.
 
I used the Forgot Password to reset mine.

Had me wondering what happened.
 
Had to reset mine this morning as well.
 
Threw me for a loop when I couldn't log in. Last time that happened I was banned so I immediately started trying to think of what I did last night.
 
Same here... Old password was no longer valid, but a reset did the trick.

No big deal, it was about time for me to change passwords anyways.
 
yeah same here. thought i had lost my mind for about 2 min.

Well I tried the password reset, and it must be linked to a very old email address from more than 11 years ago from an old ISP. I created a new account because of this. I would still like to restore my old account.
 
Steve must have repurposed passwords.txt to store all his porn URLs. :)
 
What do we do if we have a valid email address but the system will not send us the email to reset it? Similar problem to jb1331 but my email address is still in use.
 
I'm a 15.3 year member and my email attached to that account is OLD and not valid.. What can I do??? This is the first Forum I ever joined when I got into computers and it truly means a lot to me.
 
user musky is reporting he is not able to reset his PW, it will not accept his email address as being valid.

I'll just assume the IT admin did this as a preventative measure. Since I use different passwords on every site I go to, no worries here.
 
I get nervous when I try to login and my password magically doesn't work. I went through the reset process before I found this post but luckily had no issues and was able to get back into my account.

My first thought was....aw crap, someone hacked [H]Forum and stole/altered passwords? Kyle is going to go thermonuclear on his ass, and then he'll get angry. :eek:
 
the password reset worked for me. Glad I don't have to try and come up with another username to keep track of. Hope it works out for the rest of you as well.
 
Thanks Kyle for updating my e-mail address. I didn't have access to my old one.
