Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No, you can leave it blank during configuration and the client will operate normally. But we will not have any way of distinguishing work units you completed from the work units others with the same name have completed. And you will not be eligible for the new points bonus when implimented."
I knew you needed a passkey for the -bigadv VM to get the bonus. But do I need to use that passkey on all my other clients as well? I went ahead and put my passkey in all the rest of the boxen I have just in case but didn't know if it was necessary.
Once you get the passkey you will need to fold 10 regular WUs before you can fire up a bigadv. This is a check of your performance and reliability according to the Folding Forum.

You only "need" to use the passkey with the clients that you want run -bigadv work-units on.
It makes no difference points wise with all the other clients.
At the moment only my VM's have the passkey in their client config files as I want to run -bigadv in them in the future..
I have not got around to putting it in all my GPU clients yet.
It make no difference to my points running some clients with and some clients without a passkey.
Yes, now you only need a paskey for the bigadv work units. You might as well go ahead and get one and get it in your clients. If I read right, in the future a paskey will be a requirement, as this is Stanford's way of insuring the wu's you turn in come from you. If I remember correctly, several months ago there was a problem with someone's wu credits and a guy lost a lot (I think 50, 60k points) over something that if he had had a paskey it would not have been an issue(I'm too lazy to look for it).
So you might as well go ahead and plan to use one.
