Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Is anyone here using any passive methods for their CPU? using only XP-120 for example and what are the results? how about DIY heatpipes leading to a huge radiator outside of the case . the advantages being for noise
I doubt many people use passive heatsinks on their CPU's because there performance is not very good. You cannot just slap a XP-120 without a fan on your CPU and expect it to cool it. Without a fan it will actually make matters worse by building up a lot of heat inside the heatsink. Doing this will fry your CPU in no time. If you want something that is quiet maybe you should look into water cooling.
this isn't extreme cooling, and you would probably get more/better responses over in overclocking and cooling.
as a general rule, if you want decent performace, and near silence, you should be browsing zalman's catalogue.
it would help if you also gave us some idea of what your budget is like. if you can swing the price tag, the zalman TNN case would be an ideal solution for you.
