passive questions

I want to build a new intel machine once the Q9450 comes available. Im getting older now and want a quiet pc. I was looking at a Lian Li A05B. I have a 3870 right now. So for the 3870 and the Q9450, is there any passive coolers I can get away with? Ill probably run the Q9450 at 3.0, so it should be easy to cool I would think. Im not up on tech lately with work and all. So if you guys could give me some recommendations id appreciate it. Scythe Ninja? ACCELS1 Rev 2? Thanks all.
 
I'd still put an exhaust on the case, if not an exhaust and an intake. Just use low speed 800rpm fans and it'll be silent.

As for coolers, the S1 video coolers are pretty top notch performance wise for being passive.
The Thermalright HR-01 or the Scythe Ninja are both good passive CPU coolers.

For the cpu, you can underclock it if it gets too hot with a passive cooler.
 
i agree. you should use the S1 rev 2 on the gpu. and just use the scythe ninja with a very slow fan, 800rpm. it will be good since there wont be much other fans in the case
