Passive cooling

i was wondering about passive cooling via motor oil or baby oil or something of the likes. anyways would it be better to leave the heatsink on and fan on or take everything off
 
The liquid will wear a fan out quick unless you get the right kind, don't think the fan is needed anyways. HS I don't know.
 
normally when folks do it all thats in there is the heatsinks. all fans are removed. it works pretty damn well too. i think toms has a video of it or supn. check em out. but lots of folks have done that before, its more about makin sure what you enclose it in is leak proof and making sure you set it up right. no fans will be needed though
