Hi. I am doing upgrades on my current system and this is what i have so far for watercooling parts.

D-tek FuZion CPU Water Block
Swiftech MCP655
Danger Den Single 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir
Black Ice Pro Radiator
D-Tech FuZion Gfx Block

This is what i have so far. Feel free to add on and make recommendations.
 
Single radiator but how big (1,2 or 3 fans) ?

That's not enough for anything more than a dual core cpu... With a moderate OC.

If you're throwing the GPU and Nb in there, I'd go grab yourself a triple black ice pro radiator for a few dollars at dangerdenstore, or an MCR320 for a few bucks more at jab-tech.
 
Would a double work for a cpu and gpu? If not i will get that triple one.

Any advice on tubing and clamps?
 
Depends on the CPU and GPU.

If you're going with any 8800 level card and a high-clocked conroe dual or quad, at least a triple radiator.

Clamps? Your regulare 40c worm drive clamps from Home Depot.

Tubing? Masterkleer 7/16" ID tubing all the way!
 
dude don't skimp on a radiator or you will be dissapointed. considering you can get a MCR320 for probably less or maybe a little more than the BIX counterpart, buy that. the Black Ice series is only good for high flow fans (80CFM plus) before it starts turning into a decent performer.

Unless you're going for extremely low temps, a double radiator (yes, even a Black Ice) will do just fine for cooling your CPU and GPU. I'm running an x6800 at 3.4ghz along with an 8800GTX with a 10% OC on both memory and core, and my temps are in the "better than air" range. My CPU never gets over 53C and the GPU never gets over 57C. This is on SilenX fans running at the lowest speed for (moderatly) quiet operation.

A triple rad will get you slower fans and lower temps, but you can accomplish what you're trying with a double.

Yes, that's true. I was running my 8800GTS and an E6300 @ 3.5ghz on a double black ice Xflow for awhile :p. Temps were below a highend "air" setup too.

But, most people WC for silence, not performance, so there's no reason to limit yourself with a smaller radiator... Especially if you might upgrade in the future.
 
also, never compare setups with a dual core to a quad core setup. The quad will sometime take up to twice more power and more heat compared to a dual so it's not always a good idea to get a double radiator.

The main reason to get a triple is for silence and room for future expansions.

I was pushed for space before but now i have bought a new case so a triple rad shouldn't be a problem.

oh yeah...one more question.
What are some good rad. fans? both power and sound
and should they blow toward the rad or away?

I'm certainly not disputing that a 3x rad will yield better performance and a quieter experience. Just pointing out the the OP that there are some other options out there. :)

Oh, don't worry. I knew that, I think your idea was sound, I was just chiming in with personal experience as I've been down that road before.

You should use Yate Loon fans. Petras Tech Shop seems to (anecdotally) have better quality versions, yet I've seen no difference between theirs and those sold (cheaper) on Jab-Tech.

They should pull air through the radiator.

SVC has them for 3 dollars each, and some coolermaster fans for 4/10
