I've been thinking about setting up a three way partition but I don't know how well this will work.

I will have 3 separate drives:
A) 1000 GB for data (pictures, music, videos, etc)
B) 500 GB for programs
C) 64 GB SSD for Windows 7

I was wondering if anyone runs a setup like this. I want to make sure my programs would all work correctly. So far, I know how to set it so windows 7 reads my documents and user data from a separate drive but I'm worried about my programs and if they will function correctly after I install them all.

Thanks for the help.

You can install your programs on a different partition than the OS. This partition will then have a drive letter other than C. Choose the drive letter for this partition right after you install your OS. As long as you do not change the drive letter later, after having installed your programs, your programs will work fine.

Thanks, I'm hoping it is that simple and that no programs will screw up. Windows 7 is certainly a step forward at making this stuff easier.
