My copy of xp is pretty old, so when I installed my 160gb hard drive it only recognized around 130gb of it. I formatted the partition it did not recognize but I'm wondering is there anyway I can remove the partition and have windows recognize the whole drive rather than one drive partitioned into an approximately 130gb section and an approximate 30gb section.

Basically, I want to be able to see my hard drive in control panel as just one drive and not two. Any way I can do that?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I was told it was because my copy of xp was an older copy made prior to sp2 (after a reinstall i download sp2).

You can try re-sizing the partition with Gparted, or you might want to make yourself a slipstream SP2 disk and re-install.
