Panzerbox - New Lan Case from NZXT

It's going for $120, which is kind of steep for a case of that size without a power supply.

I guess if it's made out of quality material, comes with 3 fans and a removable motherboard tray, it's worth the $120. I'm looking forward to the reviews.

if you take a good look at the structure, it looks very flimsy. This is because of the large mesh panels, large fan openings and general lack of support. I think most of the structural strength is centered in the motherboard backplane and the hard drive racks. If these are cut into the whole case might become too weak, so it might not be the best modding case. Reviews will see.

It's structual rigidity is remarkably strong for how light the case is (13 pds w/o PSU)

Regarding the top perforated panel I mentioned in the review. The screen will be stamped in retail version with recessed vertical grooves, so it's reinforced and doesn't warp. It will remain perforated. Heres how it will look in final version

I was really interested in that case until I saw all the mesh. And at 13 pounds, it's probably gonna be pretty noisy.

Hmmm.... judging from the pictures alone... it looks like you won't be able to water cool VGAs of any kind on this. Since the barb plugs expand from the side of the blocks, but then the PSU seems very close to the VGA area.

That's a big minus..................

Eh, watercoolers represent a smaller fraction of those who build custom pcs.

hmmm..what about dust?

and did that finish attract a lot of fingerprints?

hmmm..what about dust?

lian lis cases are often built with a ton of mesh. their owners dont seem to mind. i think when the temps inside your case are basically ambient temps, you dont really mind having to open her up and blow compressed air every few months.

I talked to Johnny Hou at NZXT yesterday. The Panzerbox release has been pushed back to the end of May. He says you should see the Panzerbox LAN case in online retail stores mid June.

to any mnpctech guy..or anyone who alread has one... since you guys already have a sample can you enlighten me of a measurement that I'm very curious about, it's the only thing hindering me to get this case.

when VGA card is installed, standard width, what's the distance between the very side edge of card from the PSU ?

let me know if you need a picture or something like as to what im describing of what im asking for ? :D
