I have noticed that a lot of people ask about panels in monitors on this forum. If you want to find out you can use flatpanels.dk's English search feature,

It has more than 500 monitors listed in the database and you find almost every popular monitor and some of the future monitors. You can search by brand, model number, ms time etc.
And of course the search feature is in English even though the site is in Danish.
 
More than 75 LCD-TV's will be added soon with information on the panels if someone finds that interesting.
