Most of my fans in my case are 80mm Panaflo and none of them have the yellow rpm wire on it. The rep that sold them to me said they don't make them with a rpm wire. Is this true? If so is there anyway to modify it so that you can monitor the rpm of the fan?

I'm looking to get the Thermaltake Hardcano 13 and if I can't monitor the fan speed then I can't adjust the fan speed via the controls.
 
He's lying, some do and some don't have a yellow monitoring wire, here is the selection at newegg: Here , I am not sure if you could put your own yellow monitoring wire on though.
 
Every Panaflow that I have ever had never came with a yellow wire. My guess is this is something new for Panaflow?

I think the last Panaflow that I bought was like 3-4 years ago :p Good fans!!!!
 
Panaflo makes fans with RPM capability but they are very hard to find (at least in the US they are.) Any Panaflo fan with a part number ending in -BX has RPM sensing. The rest of their fans, even though they have the yellow wire, do not have RPM sensing.
