i am really interested in changing up all my fans to panaflo fans.. i have a watercooled system with push/pull 120's and a pull 120.. i really am fond of quiet computers and would love to have 3 ultra quiet 120's.. but how are ultra quiet panaflos compared to the medium speed ones. the difference is only about 5dbs but i think 5 dbs is a big jump.. is it worth the 15 extra cfms for 5 dbs?

also, i have a ocz powerstream 600.. i want to change out the fans on those suckers with panaflos as well.. does anyone know if those are 80x25mm? what kind of connectors are attached to those fans?

The ocz fans are fairly quite. And opening up that ps will void your 5 year warranty. If you think there is a problem with the fan on that ps I would contact ocz first.
 
I would recommend the med speed on Fan Mate 2 fan controllers. Best of both worlds. It the way I do it. Fan Mates are cheap and small and use a voltage regulator instead of a pot. 2 panaflows per fan mate will work.

Check the prices on nexfan.com with the 6.99 shipping on entire order they might come out cheaper than your source.
 
Pass on the OCZ fans. I don’t care what anyone says but Panaflow are one of the top made quality fans. Not some POS with an OCZ sticker slapped on it. LIA fans are GREAT! But if you want to move some heat around they might not do the job. But they sure sound great... since you can’t hear them! So I second the vote for the MIA fans since they will provide you with a little more ump. But if you do choose to go with the LIA, you won’t be making a poor choice. I just recommend not using a LIA as a heatsink fan. But for a case fan they are fine.

I run 3 of these in my system atm... 2 of them for pulling on my Innovatek radiator and one for a case intake. At 12v they are just slightly audible up close... but at 7-9v they are fantastic.

Also take a trip to silentpcreview.com, or forums.silentpcreview.com -- lots of information about pros/cons of various "quiet" fans.
 
I just received 3 nexus 120 and 1 nexus 80mm fans today for my new case (PC-7B Plus). I'm hoping they are good. Oh, and endpcnoise shipped them the next day.
 
I think you will be pleased... especially if you have a fan controller. I may need to pick up a couple of the smaller ones in the future to replace various 92s and 80s as I was so impressed with the 120s.
