I was looking at Panaflo fans on Newegg and they all seem to have a 3-pin connector. How do I use this? My current stock case fans have molex-style connectors and they're all daisy chained. My case is an Aspire X-Navigator Piece of shit and I really want to get rid of the LED-fans because they're not for me.
 
You can do one of 2 things. You can buy an adapter to convert those 3 pin floppy style power connectors to 4 pin molex or you can buy a fan controller to plug them into.. All depends on what you want to do. They are made for mobos with 3 pin fan attachments like the one that your Heatsink fan, plugs into.

Oh okay, I have the 3-pin fan attachments on my mobo. But I'm interested in fan controllers now..any recommendations? :p

My case has a built-in fan controller but it only works with the molex-style connectors.
 
Sorry actually not the familiar with fan controllers. Best bet is to go to places like Newegg, ZZF, Monarch, Jab-tech, Directron and other such places and just see what they got and what fits your "bill"
 
There's many to choose from, just depends on all the goodies you want on it. Fan controller, light controller, 9-in-1's, temperature display, etc. Good choice on the panaflow fans too, I had two 80mm ones in my previous case and they move a lot of air.
 
I'm using a Zalman ZM-MFC1. It works pretty good. my only complaint is that the LEDs are a bit on the bright side. Its got 4 dials for variable speed that have 3-pin connectors. It also has 2 bare wire connectors with switches, 5v or 12v. I've got my case fans & psu fan hooked to the dials and one panflo hooked to the switch. Its nice because its a high speed panflo and at 5v its totally silent, but when the need arises I can crank it to full power, 12v and my case temps drop in seconds.
 
If you just want a 3-pin connector you can just buy the end and solder the wires to it. You need to be careful, though. Some panaflo's draw a lot of current - more than specification on those 3 prong motherboard fan connectors. This is mostly for the 120mm fans, though IIRC.

Purchasing a fan controller wouldn't hurt either.
