well, I followed the sticky FAQ thread and bought a few 80mm and 92mm Ultra quiet Panaflo from Sidewindercomputers.com (from the FAQ). I already got new 2-ball Enermax fans but I want less noice so I tried Panaflo.

whatever hydrowave bearing they advertise suck. it is noizier than my Enermax fans.
what worse is that when I tried to slow It down using fan controller, it made annoying sound and loud.

I think Ball bearing is better than hydrowave. you can use fan control to slow ball bearing fans down without a problem. I ended up buy another 92mm ball bearing to replace that new Panaflo.

Panaflo's today are not what they where 5 years ago. If you can score some old model fans that would be kick ass.

Then how come people were still buying them up like crazy to cool their OC'd Venices a year ago?

I bought a 92mm Panaflo to replace 5-year-old ball bearing fan. This old fan is loud due to its age. the ridiculous thing is that the new 92mm panaflo is as loud and annoying as the old fan. it is worse when I plug it into the fan controller.

that 92mm panaflo purchase was worthless. This fan need to be removed from the FAQ sticky. the 80mm panaflo is ok but comparing to the cheaper Enemax, it is not a good buy because it performs the same and cost more.

I hate Hydro Wave fan now. you have to run it as is. if you use the fan controller, it makes turbo jet noice. This should be in the FAQ sticky. I made a costly mistake by going with Hydro Wave fans thinking it is better.
