My cheap Logitech LS1 performs very poorly in games, its not precise and I never feel am in control of it.
My endless gaming hours are long gone but I still game 1-hours a day so I decided to look for a decent gaming mouse as I have never owned one.
Am talking about something at the price range of 40Euros.

After some extensive searching in various sites I seem to be a Palm user. My palm rests on the mouse, and my pinky finger is always rubbing along my desk. My hands are medium sized i think.

I ve ended up with 5 potential mouse choices and want some opinions from you guys:

CM Storm Spawn - Seems like a very decent choice but they keep mentioning is a claw mouse. Will I get used to it easily if I change my style to claw?
CM Storm Inferno - Better than the spawn but a bit off for my price range. Also the left side keys look like they are too far back for my thumb.
LOGITECH G400 - Looks like to be the best choice overall. The side keys seem to be reachable. Any experience on this from palm users?
Genius GX-Gaming Maurus - A very nice mouse but reviews say it might be too "light".
Cyborg R.A.T.3 - Fancy mouse, a bit more expensive, and seen too much comments about it dying early.

What i definitely need are at least 2 extra programmable buttons and I don't need it to be wireless at all.

Any ideas? Would be very appreciated.

I like the G400 quite abit but my CM storm spawn is much more comfortable for me. You probably can't go wrong with either. G400 is probably better for slightly larger hands and spawn for slightly smaller.

CM storm spawn would be a horrible palm grip mouse, imo.
It's about half the size from front to back of the g400.

The packaging advertises the mouse as a claw grip style.
I think it would make a perfectly fine claw grip or fingertip grip.
But I think if you get your palm up on that thing, your finger tips will be resting on the desk.

To be fair though, I've not had my hands on a cm storm spawn, just seen it in person in the packaging.

If you are looking for comfort and are right handed you will love the SteelSeries Ikari which is available with optical sensor or laser sensor. I have used laser Ikari for almost a year gaming fps and it has been awesome.

I also have a G400 optical which I just got. It is not as comfortable for me as the Ikari but it is highly rated for FPS gaming.

How about the inferno? I was almost sure about the G400 but now am having second thoughts about me being a palm instead of a claw grip user.

Inferno is Ok I own one but the sides buttons suck because the are too flat. I use a G500 with modified mouse feet

If you live near a microcenter they have the CM storm spawn for $30 after rebate. You can always try it out then if you like it keep it and send in the rebate. If not just return it. That's what I did.

It has a nice side grip feel that I can see working for claw grippers as well. Best thing about this mouse is the sensor accuracy. Very good gaming mouse.
