I often cruise the Newgg website just to see what they are offering and what people have to say about their products. Anyway, I don't know why but their sale on the 1GB Palit GeForce 210 GPU caught my eye, can't explain why because I have no need for a low end card. The card had 1 review with a rating of 2 eggs. In the review the customer expressed his disappointment that the card did not work out of the box and how inconvenient it was because he did not have onboard graphics. Palit's response was the most arrogant and insulting piece of drivel, I ever heard come from a manufacturer. In it Palit tries to pass the blame on to the customer's other equipment and made subtle hints that the man didn't know what he was talking about. Palit if this is what you call good customer service your company will not have much of a future in the enthusiast market!

Sounds you were you that customer and now you are trolling here. I don't find the response to be "the most arrogant and insulting piece of drivel."

Here's what's on Newegg.com:

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Anonymous,

I think there was something else wrong with your computer and it wasn't the graphic card. If you brought this card because you had no screen prior then there could be memory or even CPU issue. I'm guessing this couldn't be a upgrade because this is a entry level card.

We are hoping you would give us a call at 1-877-934-7932. Choose Option 4 so that we can get a better understand of what happen.

Thank you for your feedback.

Sir, you are not only wrong about me being the customer but, I wonder if you yourself are not trolling and you have some kind of connection to Palit! The fact that the service rep tries to blame the problem on the guy's other equipment then makes a statement about him buying a low end card is in my opinion ARROGANT and CONDESCENDING! Guess what Palit, some people don't buy a 480 because they just don't need it! To me this kind of garbage is why, XFX and EVGA is so popular.

That is a completely professional and helpful response. What is the issue here?

Although I agree that this particular response is hardly insulting or negative in any way, if you look at any other Palit response to a negative review on newegg.com you'll find that it is indeed "the most arrogant and insulting piece of drivel".

However my favorite response to a 3-star review is this:

This user did not purchased this item from Newegg but left a negative feedback.

Please stop leaving bogus reviews to promote Gigabyte brand.

Please call us toll free 1-877-934-7932. We would love to speak to you if this was true.

Thank you.

I dont think that the response is as horrible as you make it out to be. I would be more concerned with the fact that the response is made up of grammar an spelling mistakes. If there representatives can't type simple paragraphs, I would rather not deal with them on the phone.

EDIT: Wow, the grammar and spelling in all their responses is horrible, and they have an excuse for everything.

So let me get this right, you buy a piece of computer equivalent and it is DOA, out of disappointment, frustration, or what ever you post a negative review (I myself would have gave it an 1 egg). In response the manufacturer alludes that there must be something wrong with the other components in your system instead of their card, then makes a veiled comment about buying a entry level card and this is arrogant and condescending?

Blah blah blah. Go whine about Newegg reviews on Newegg's forum please.
