I heard that doing your own case painting w/ spraypaint will save you money. But I'm worried about the quality of the results it will give you.

Has anyone painted w/ sparypaint on their case? If so, can you show me how it looks? I'm thinking of painting my case from gray to orange (or blue) to make it stand out in my room.

I've painted using vinyl dye only so far which is meant to be used for plastics, it seems to work extremely well as it is a type of paint that actually adheres itself to the plastic and dyes it making it a hard paint to rid of even after scratches. It's a nice type of paint and can be found in your local automotive stores, also another thing about vinyl dye is that you can turn the plastic any color you want, for example if you wanted to dye a black plastic to a red, just dye the plastic white and then red. Works great, as far as spray paint goes I'd like to hear about that as well since I am looking forward to painting some cases later in the future. :)
 
Most people use spray paint to paint their cases and it works well. Vinyl dye is like spray paint and it is very good on plastic. Check the faq for some links to some nice articles on case painting.
