well i decited that today id paint my MX Dou, all of it, keyboard, mouse parts and reciver/charger its all truned out great, but i did a few to many coats on the reciver, not my mouse wont hit the connect points to recharge, any ideas on how to fix it? or should i jsut try again with my other reciver?
 
I can't imagine how you did this with regular rattle can so I must request pics :D

How many coats like 30? :D
 
Didnt you disassemble it all from the outer casing first? And use verrryyy light coats? Guess not. Well why not try some fine (1000-1500) grit wet-dry sandpaper and have at it. Or if ur desperate, paint thinner to take a few layers off, but not too much if u dont wanna take it all the way down to the base coat.

Sounds like he just went at it with a rattle can, no dissassembly first.

ya i disassembled it from the caseing, as for coats, i did 2 light coats of priner, 4 coats of the metal flake and 2 coats of clear. gunna try it again with my other base, this time ill only of a coat of primer, paint and clear on teh inside and do the normal on the outside

side note, with the base apart, it still wont charge the mouse(and yes the mouse was taken apart for the painting too... wit it was a loose connection, woot mouse can be charged now

and tsk, would have thought people on this board would havet he commen sense to think it would be taken apart first. and of course i used a rattle can, with the right prep work you can make any thing look good with rattle cans, right now i can use my keyboard and mouse as a mirror if i wanted
