Painting the chassis

Ok, this is going to be an intersting work log to try to document.

I'm going to straight up come out and say that pictures beyond the one i am showing in this post will not appear until the actual project is finished. Why you might ask, its because right now the only computer i have to use while the other case is being modded is my P3 with no USB ports and running linux (so even if i did have usb ports, im sorta SOL for the camera getting recognized anyway). However, i will post up a pick of the before and then once i can atleast have a working rig i will put up the rest of the pictures.

So this is my idea, and it isn't all that impressive as far as most of these things here go. (Intersted yet :p ) Basically what I am doing is a stipped my rig down to the chassis and then decided to paint the chassis so that it would look a bit cleaner and more professional. I chose to paint the entire chassis flat mat black. I know this has been done by a few people here, so i hope to get good reviews and props from those who have done it.

After i finish this, I was trying earlier today to find a place that sold yellow florecent(SP) paint so i could add a little color that matched my cables that would react along with my cables to UV light.

To be honest however, this is just sort of a, hey I'm bored project, I'm actually getting (or building, we'll see what happens) a new case very soon, and I will be modding that one most likely, so ill be posting mods for that as well, though it will probably be in the work log.

So here is the before pictures, and i hope you like the pictures to come.

Actually, it turns out that this post was well ahead of its proper time...but now I cant delete it so i guess ill just post up in here when the proper time comes.

I thought that i had uploaded the before pictures to the web BEFORE i tore the computer with the pictures down, but it turns out that they didnt make it so I dont have the pictures i was expecting to have.

And to clarify the point of this thread.

Im painting my computer chassis. I decided to paint it black and I wanted to show people how it came out, and i was going to start with the first post showing before and then the finished product would be in a picture in a later post. Thats all this is about, sorry about the confusion.
