[H]ey guys,
I've been working on painting my case (sanding, painting, sanding, painting, etc...) for a while now. I have a question about what I'm trying to do...
I'm just about finished painting my side panel and I have a really cool stincil I made of a dragon that I want to paint on the side... how should I go about doing that?

1). sand last coat of paint, use rubbing compound, paint stencil, sand, rubbing compound, clear coat?
2). don't sand last coat, paint stencil, sand, rubbing compound, clear coat?
3). sand last coat, rubbing compound, clearcoat, sand, paint stencil, rubbing compound...
4). Some combination of the above in a different order..

I could sure use some guidence on this... Thanks

Prep the last coat as if you're going to recoat it. At least the area where the stencil will be.

Spray the stencil.

Clearcoat.
