i got one of the $59 antec 900's at newegg. i want to paint the inside flat black. what kind of paint should i use? also, i have an old paasche airbrush that i used when i did fine scale modeling in the 90's (1/35 armor and 1/48 planes). would it be worth it to stoke that up or would just the spray cans be good?

I would lightly sand the surface (~600 grit), clean with soapy water.

I've used the cheap $0.98 cans from WalMart with good results.

Put one coat on, let it dry for about twenty to thirty minutes, wet sand (600 grit would be fine), then clean with soapy water and appyl the next coat. I'd go with no less than three coats.

Here's how mine turned out following that method and using the cheap-o paint:

...or you could have it powder coated.

I'd go with a spray can over an airbrush.

Be aware that flat black is just about the flimsiest coating you can apply and you'll have to be very careful during assembly not to mar/scratch it.
A satin finish is more durable and I find it generally matches the rest of the case finish pretty well.

if you don't want all the trouble of sanding it down i would suggest getting some etching primer and then spray painting it black

While you will definately want to wet sand the case before each coat, you don't have to... but the orange peel will be inevitable.

that looks great. i have that case (v1000), a b plus2 w, but am now going to the 900. took too much to keep the aluminum clean, because i am switching hw constantly. and i had to use 92mm coolers unless i mounted them horizontally. maybe when i finish the 900 i will go back and get the lian li powder coated. did you get the bottom panel powder coated also, or is it just reflecting black?
