painting a case...paint recomendation?

My boyfriend is painting my case for me... cause I have no patience for that . I am very picky though, so can anyone recomend a good paint for me. Thanks.

My first question would be has he ever painted a case before?

If you want 'professional results' and the proper equipment I would recomend automotive paint... barring that I've had good results with Dupli-color which can be found at most autoparts stores. If there is a custom color you are looking for though it might be either a special order or you would need to go to a place that mixes colors.

lol... my case have two parts. The sides are aluminum and the front is plastic...so do I use the same paint for both?

Nope......I use SEM vinyl and plastic color spray...get it at auto paint stores....bout $13.00 a can if I remember.....I use it to paint optical drive bezels..........and anything plastic

This is a decent guide, granted its for a steel case not alum... but the general idea is the same.

The hard part is the final touch of the Clear Coat. Clear Coat drip easy if you don't know how to paint, it also the final touch make it all shiny and professional.
