Paint over waxed metal ?

I have a question :>

If i sand my case and wax it after sanding can i paint it after waxing ? I want to sand my pc desk ( http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=861422&page=1&pp=20 )
and then paint it with clear enamel that it looks like chrome but i want that the metal is very shiny ^^

No, you can't. Paint won't stick to the wax. If you use a gloss enamel then you'll have a nice shiny surface when you're done anyway.

You can wax it after. Like a nice car finish. Google automotive painting, finishing.....

Use some abrasive lapping/polishing compounds to shine the metal up.
Then clean it with some type of solvent. Let dry then paint it.
