This is a helpful guide to do with anything with painting!
For all of us Noobs out there(including me) I know how hard it is to look for the right paint you're looking for at your local Home Depot or Lowes. So I listed all of the online paint shops I know you can look at. So let start.
Paint Shops
Dickblick : Carries various Krylon products.
Createforless : Carries bundles of spray paints.
Not to mention at a very cheap price!
Artcity :Like Dickblick, carries various krylon products
JaggersWholesale: For anyone who might have read Defyant or Techdaddy's mods using fiberglass or bondo, Jaggers Wholesale has a special kind of primer which is a must for anyone dealing with that type of subject
AutoBarn : Carries 3M rubbing compound to get a nice finish on you case.
Paint Guides
Stencil guide : This a great stencil guide that mnpctech did. I love it so much, that i'm going to try on my next case mod.
Fiberglass guide : A great guide for anyone working with fiberglass. Is this part of painting? Maybe not, but will involve later on!
Router painting? : For anyone whose so monkish that they want their router to match your case.
Appliques : A great way to "paint" your window.
Closing Statements
There are alot more paint shops out there, waiting to be discovered. If you find any, post it in this thread, please! Also, for all of those struggling Noobs out there, look at others paint jobs as inspiration, however don't take all of the credit for it because that will be playgerism.
Also, for anyone who has cable, check out pimp my ride, also pay attention to the paint job section. It is a great way to draw out ideas. Finnally, the next time your in a library, Book store, or amazon.com, look for Extreme PC mods. Trust me, you won't regreat it! If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or other painting tips, please feel free to add!
