OK, I have a XP Pro system that has currently 512mb of ram. It's a nice system. Athlon 2500, Radeon 9500, etc I'm only running bearshare (which is using 260-something megs of ram), and a bunch (maybe 15) that use around 5-10. Total ram usage should be around 320mb MAX. Well today when I get home from work, my system is DOG slow and sluggish. Like programs had been put to run from the hard drive. No, my system doesn't hibernate or sleep or any of that gay shit.
So I go to the windows task manager and low and behold my page file USAGE is at like 879mb. Which means that my ram must be full, and then an EXTRA 879mb. Where does this come from, and where the hell do I find out where it is.
I did mess with my pagefile settings in the registry a few months back, but from what I was told the settings were minimal changes, nothign as drastic as what I'm experiencing now.
