Page File Help Please

Hello, Im building a new system and am looking for a little help with the page file (size and place). Will be running 2 gigs of ram and XP Home. A 320 gig 7200.10 Seagate SATA 16mb will be the main drive for my OS,games and apps and will have 2X IDE Maxtor 200gig 7200 rpm 8mb drives as storage. I have read that it would be best for the page file to be on one of the storage drives, but with the Maxtors not being as fast as the Seagate not sure what would be best. So any advice would be great, also looking for tips on the size for the page file. Thanks!
 
Also was wondering if I should have a separate partition for my OS? and if so what size?
 
I usually just put it on my system drive. With enough RAM your computer shouldn't be paging all that often. I also fix the page file size to prevent fragmentation.

In my opinion, if you're only running one OS (no dual-booting), hard drive partitioning is good only for organization. I don't think there's really any real benefit to it.
 
Putting the page file on the storage drive makes use of another spindle. The more spindles you have the better. I would think that the speed difference between the two drives would be outweighed by the increase in spindle count.
