Hey guys, thought I'd start a thread for the community that might be interested in which E8400 chips are accurately reporting their temps and are better at overclocking. While I do realize that overclocking chips are hit or miss it doesn't hurt to consider that a good batch of chips might be better for OC-ing. I will report my batch number and packaged date when I get home. Cheers!

Mine has a packdate of 01/09/2008, and CoreTemp seems light it might be accurate. I'm still testing. People with packdate 01/10/2008 seems to have good results, so I'm hoping I'll be OK. Either way, the Abit Ip35 Pro has BIOS issues abound no matter which chip you get. :(
