I hardware-calibrate my monitor from time to time and recently I tried to calibrate the preset HDR mode "HDR_PQ Rec2020" using the latest ProArt Calibration software (4.3.3). Also, I have updated to the latest firmware MCM112. The calibration process completes without issue and I get the calibration report presented. However, when I click to "Apply" the calibration, after some time the monitor simply reboots and I get the message "Calibration failed. Error code 4159". Retrying doesn't help.
I have no issue calibrating for SDR targets. I'm following all the recommendations for pre-calibration settings (HDR off in Windows, etc).
Asus support is suggesting out of warranty repairs, but I don't believe them, HDR calibration used to work before (admittedly, long time ago and with different FW/SW versions).
I know there have been a few owners of PA32UCG here; I would really appreciate if anyone did an HDR calibration test with the same FW/SW combination - does it work for you?
