Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm cooling a 4800 x2, 7600GT, and a chipset with a single PA120....two fans would cool it better but the PA120 and a slow moving fan is more than adequate.
Kathy at DD informed me yesterday that a single Black Ice Extreme 120 is sufficient to cool a single CPU & GPU.
I had ordered a 2x120, but it won't fit (buy it from me in the FS forum!), so I'm going to go with the 1x120 Black Ice Extreme.
Don't know how that affects your PA120, but if it large and efficient (what is its heat disspiation capacity?), you probably are ok. Might require a beefyFan (TM) though.
Sure, the BIX will work well, but you need at least 70cfm of air pulled through it. Um... Have you looked at the GTS radiators? Almost the performance of the BIX, but at 2/3 the airflow requirement (so about 50cfm).
i was in the same boat as you. couldn't decide whether to get a PA120.1 or BI GTS 120. but the price for a PA120.1 over the BI GTS doesn't reflect the cooling ablility so it wasn't worth it. i'm talking about 1-3 degrees over the GTS. thats not worth it to me paying nearly twice as much for the PA120.1. but if you have the money, why not?
