Hi guys, i just recently set up a new comp with p8p67 pro b3 + i 2500k + Gskill F3-12800CL9-4GBLX 8GB pack plus Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB hardisk..

The problem is kind of weird, hdtach shows nice transfers rates and low cpu usage (like 1%) but sometimes when i'm writing on hardisk (game installation for example) computer lags, not to much but its noticeable.. my both hardisk are on Intel controller and exactly on sata3 connectors, no dvd drive plugged atm.

Default drivers from mobo CD and WinXP Pro SP3 up to date.

Any idea guys? any new inf driver or something to fix this?

Any info is welcome! ;)

Yeah like small "stops" or lag spikes when changing app to app, im trying now malwarebytes to scan harddisk and works SLOW.. but hdtach speeds are okay.. its really weird :(

It act any different on the SATA 2 port? Just curious. I built a machine the other day with a WD Black 500gb 6.0gb/s drive and the whole thing felt slow to me but the benches were fine. The machine had no snap to it at all which is strange since it was a 4.5ghz 2500K on a P8P67.

I am not sure how you play the HD content, but I use DXVA decoder from MPC and it plays very well with around 5% cpu usage.

I also didn't have issues with HD playback with my old Conroe rig.

Any reason why you use WinXP over Win7?
