It has the nForce 200 chip on it. Wonder how that even works. its still a single x16 v2 lane to the NB, despite being a pair of x16 lanes to the cards. Wonder if those are just v1 lanes, instead of v2...The fifth slot is either a x4 or a x1, electrically. x4 probably. X58 allows for 36 lanes, IIRC. 16+16+4. Plus driver support, of course.

The actual B/W would probably be like 8x4x8x4x8x4 by some voodoo. IMO this board make a better file server board than a gfx board. Imagine populating every slot with 24port controllers. With 24x4+8 with 1.5 TB drives you get 228TB.

Imagine the folding possibilities... You could get 5 single-slot cards and one dual-GPU card in there.

One other use I thought would be 6x matrox x4 DVI cards and build a TV wall of 24 monitors.
