I moved my 2600k rig (in sig) from the office to my room so i could go about installing a new install on it (it was setup headless in the office), and when i plug in to boot up here, i get no boot, with the CPU's led constant.

Ive so far:
1) Tried different sets of ram, including single stick in the far right slot
2) Swapped GPU's
3) Reseated the CPU
4) Checked all power cables (no scorch marks anywhere)
5) Reset CMOS (via unplug + moving jumper)

Am running out of bloody ideas, anyone got an idea?

When that happened to me it was the PSU, the 3,3v output was down. Can you try another?
 
Do you have a speaker attached to the motherboard to see if you get beeps? What happens when you boot with no ram or no gpu at all? same result?
 
@btb - I got a new PSU for my SR2 setup yesterday, so ill be able to test the 2600k with my X-750 sometime this week, should tell me if the PSU is the issue (honestly hoping it is, the current one is an Earthwatts 620, that ran hot)

@novadaemon - No on the speaker, honestly dont know where I have any of my mobo speakers, and no ram/no gpu is the same, i believe that the sabertooth's "check list" starts with the CPU.
 
There's no chance that there may be something shorting to the board is there? Sometimes small bits of metal may fall behind the motherboard during installation and cause shorts. That's a pretty long shot there though.
 
very possible - i plan on pulling the board out this weekend and having it on its own, tried with a known good PSU, so the last option is to pull it out and go that way. otherwise is it fair to think the board is shot ?
