I am getting a mobo temo of 40 C and a avg cpu temp of 47 C while running windows... havent tried gaming yet to check it at load... should I be worried? at what temp can I damage compenents?

Are you overclocking, overvolting or both? Did you follow the instructions for installing the heatsink? What temperatures are you getting under load? Have you looked at the other threads talking about Core 2 Duo temperatures in order to compare yours to theirs? If you have a retail CPU and installed the heatsink correctly, I would not be surprised if you were elligible for an RMA through intel, should things go wrong.
