I'm trying to install XP Pro on my new Asus P5W DH Deluxe. The only hard drive I have hooked up is my 74GB Raptor.
In the BIOS I have configured SATA as AHCI (to gain NCQ, etc.). This requires the latest Intel Matrix Storage F6 floppy driver.
I press F6 to load the driver and then S to specify an additional device. I get this message:
"The file txtsetup.oem could not be found."
I then press Enter to continue. Then I get:
"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer."
The Raptor does appear in the BIOS so the problem is most likely the inability to load the Intel Matrix Storage F6 drivers during setup. Why are these drivers not loading correctly?
If I can't get the drivers to work is my only other option to configure SATA as Standard IDE (which I have tried and it does find the Raptor)?
