P5Q Deluxe Memory Issues

This is going to be a long initial post, but please bear with me and hopefully someone will be able to give me some help. About three weeks ago I purchased the following setup:

Antec Signature 650W
Intel Q6600
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Visiontek ATI Radeon HD4870
2x2GB Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 v1.1
WD Velociraptor 300GB
WD Black Edition 1TB

The initial build went fine and the first time I turned it on it went through POST. At this point I dived in and started overclocking, reaching as high as 485x7 (wouldn't run stable). After several days I settled on 425x8 and started seeing issues. On a cold boot-up, the computer would turn on but I would have no video. I decided I would try the memory and with one stick in it would boot fine.

After resetting the BIOS settings (2.1V, DDR2-1066, 5-5-5-15) and inserting the second stick, the computer would run fine. After a while one of the sticks went bad and would not boot. I received a new set from Newegg which worked fine up until a couple days ago. The same thing happened again and at first I could get it to boot with one stick, reset the BIOS, then put the second stick back in. Now only one out of the two sticks will boot.

So here's the point of this whole post, can the ASUS P5Q Deluxe reliably and consistently run PC2-8500 RAM in dual channel, if so, which brands? I do not seem to be having any luck with the Dominator series thus far. Otherwise, could this be a motherboard issue as there have been several times were the BIOS has been corrupted on a cold boot and I can't upgrade to any BIOS past 1201 because I can't use the mouse on the ExpressGate screen. Any recommendations for motherboards that have a greater memory compatibility with the same feature set? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

IMO, Corsair and OCZ seem to have the most issues with today's motherboards. I rarely see problems with Mushkin, A-Data, and G.Skill.

It's just incompatibilities with hardware. :/

With most P5Q-D boards, the ram voltage is over volted, on my board its .1v, many are about .08v. Not sure what voltages your ram specs, but this could be the problem or part of the problem.
