P5N-E SLI voltage question?

I know it's normal to have a discrepancy between the voltage set in the bios and the one seen in windows (like using CPU-Z). But usually the Bios voltage is supposed to be higher.

My voltages are all over the place.
I am setting my Vcore voltage to 1.4
CPU Z is showing 1.6
Speed fan, and PC probe II are showing 1.55

Is this usually a bios problem? or what??
I am using the latest bios 0901 i think

Im running a ASUS P5N-D and it just has the most horrible v-droop I have ever seen in a ASUS product. I could set it at 1.5v q6600 at 3600-3700MHZ and it would show 1.38-1.42 in cpu-z and actual probing voltage points on motherboard with a fluke MM. Do some searching and you will find a pencil v-droop mod for your board if Its anything like the last couple ASUS boards I have been through. After 5 minutes of shading in two surface mount resistors Im happily running within a very tight voltage fluctuation on v-droop. I can now set bios at 1.53 and it magically shows 1.52-1.54 in cpu-z and on my fluke MM while 100% load with small fft's on prime95.

The problem is that my voltage is coming out higher than what's set-up in the bios. So a pencil mod may make things worse.
There is a new beta bios that's out for my board. Maybe I'll try that.

Definitly give the new Bios a try, also look at cpu-z when cpu is idleing and record your v-core. Then load up prim95 and load the cpu 100% and check the v-core, im curious how much it goes up or under with a load. Most midrange boards should drop from v-droop when stressed 100%. When I v-droop modded my P5N-D it overvolts slightly under 100% load, when it was stock it would overvolt at idle and undervolt with a load probably like yours just not as bad. If yours is overvolting when put under a load then that is not anything to worry about if its not some huge jump in voltage just turn it down a little in bois to compinsate for it. Also have you turned off C1E and speedstepping in the bois and make sure its not your CPU throttleing the core speed and voltage? Also do you have a option called load line calibration, if so turn that on and see if your voltage is a little more stable and closer to bios reports.
