Ok, so basically I have a P5N-E, and an E6400 stock, with a CoolerMaster 500W PSU. and the Pc speaker plugged in, and a ps2 keyboard.

I get the green light on the board for 'power'.

When I power on the computer, I get fans, nothing else.. What I expected to hear was BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.. but nothing.. I don't even get the keyboard lights..

I've replugged PSU and FANS but have not 'resocketed' the CPU.

When I did have RAM and GPU in I didn't get anything either, including video.

Nothing seems to be damaged on the board.. I don't think I cracked the board when putting on the stock HSF.. I'm going to RMA it.. Unless there is something else I can look for?

I mean if its not even beeping at me, its not getting far....

I have not moved the CMOS jumper... that is a good idea.

thanks for the reply I'll try it out.
