Hope someone here can help. Just built up my system and I'm getting no boot . Removed battery and cleared CMOS...nothing.

Since I just went through this myself, I'll try my best to help.

Unplug everything but
PSU
Motherboard
CPU/heatsink
Memory
Video Card
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse

And see if you can get to the bios and beeps.

Nothing. LED is on mobo....PSU has air coming out, that's it.
 
This is sounding just like what happened to my computer.

The other suggestions I got were.
Try just one Stick of Ram
and/or
Try another PSU

In my case, all the trouble shooting lead to either a bad board or CPU.
Since mine was an older setup (P4 3.2 and 915 motherboard).
I never got mine revived (yet), but it points to a bad motherboard.

If all your components are new, I'd contact the retailer/seller ASAP and get them replaced.
 
try plugging a 3 pin fan into the CPU fan header.

I seriously doubt its a bad CPU.

PSU or motherboard, if it was RAM it should still spin up.

Also, try without the video card using onboard video.
 
I should have mentioned I was using the VGA on the mobo, video card not installed.

Took everything apart and started over. Put the stock Intel sink & fan on. Still nothing. CPU did not have any bent pins, so it must be PS or Mobo, but when I did have dvd & hard drive connected, they were working.
 
Here's one test for the PSU

Disconnect all the cables. With the power off short the green wire on the ATX connector to a black wire with a paper clip. Plug and power and see if the fan spins up.
 
I just switched my 3.2 Northwood system from the SG01 to the SG03 using the new PS, and it works fine. So the PS is good.

I think it must be the motherboard. What are the chances it's the cpu..right?

It might be using the old BIOS version. If you check the CPU support page here , the motherboard needs a version 0401 BIOS to accept your processor. There might be a good chance that it is running an old BIOS version. Try to put another processor in there that is supported in the older BIOS version and see if it can boot. If successful, then flash to the latest BIOS.

might be right. Though I always thought the 1333 fsb chips would boot, just at a lower FSB.
