Yo. My current setup is a Pentium D 915 @ 3.5 GHZ with 2 GB Patriot DDR2 667. I'm sure this chip will clock higher but heat is a concern. Anyhoo, I just orderd an Asus P5B-E and E6400 and I'm wondering what to expect from this RAM for OC this setup. I suppose I'll find out soon enough but I am curious :) I will still use the old Pentium D Rig but I'm holding off on buying RAM for it. IF the Patriot stuff doesn't work out I can use it with the Pentium D rig & buy some DDR2 800 for the conroe system. Money isn't a huge concern but RAM prices are at a high right now and the choices are overwhelming.

TIA

I have just received that exact same ram, a p5b-e and a 6400 from newegg. I should start the build tonight. I am only interested in a "modest" overclock so I am looking at going to 2.8-3.0ghz on stock cooling (see the Tom's review posted today). I will let you know my results when I've got 'em.

I run that RAM (if you mean the LLK pair) at 800Mhz with 4-4-4-10 timings at 2.0V (I actually had 4-4-4-4 at one point, but I think 4-4-4-5 or 4-4-4-10 are better options)

900Mhz is definently possibly at 2.1V, I haven't tried it, but timings would probably go up (they would probably stay at or under 5-5-5-15 at that speed with that voltage)

cool, plz keep me posted on progress & I'll do the same

Now at 875Mhz 4-4-4-10 2.0V :D

I ran into problems at around 900Mhz, got some errors once in a while in MemTest86+, but what I have above was stable for over 9 hours in Memtest86+, stable in over 10 hours of Orthos blend test (to make sure the CPU was also stable), and 32M Super PI stable - finished in 16 minutes or so. I like this RAM ;)

I'm pretty much very close to my overclocking limit. I don't want to bump the VCore, I'd prefer low temps, and 3Ghz+ was my goal. I've tried 3.2Ghz with a 400x8 setting, and Orthos failed a little over 4 hours into the test. Maybe if I did something like 356x9 it would be stable, but I don't really care, I'm done testing - my cpu will now fold overnight :)
