i am getting a shuttle an35n ultra (nforce2 ultra 400 chipset). it has one of those quad pin 12 volt power connectors for the cpu, but my atx power supply is old and doesnt have one of those plugs. will the board run without that plugged in? there are adapters available online that let regular power supplies plug into that quad pin plug, but i dont really want to wait another week for shipping. maybe compusa would have them but i doubt it.

it most likely won't run without it plugged in. maybe you'll get lucky and they'll have an adapter in your kit.

pretty sure it doesnt come with the adapter. i guess i'll swap supplies with my brother until i get a new one. his board doesnt use the extra plug.

got the mobo, and it actually doesnt require the power to that connector. works great :) actually squeezed 20 more fps in quake3 out of my athlon 1400/geforce2 than the old abit kt7a. didn't know they had it in them to get any faster. guess the ddr ram helps.
