Recently upgraded my machine (below in sig) and have quite the spare parts that I have yet to sell. So looking to make a dedicated HTPC.... here's what I have:

P4 2.8Ghz HT Socket 478
BFG 6800GT OC (AGP)
2GB PC3200OCZ Value Series (Will use from main machine as i upgrade to DDR2)
500W Ultra PSU

What I have been looking at to complete system::
Asus P4P800 SE Mobo
D-VINE Case http://www.ahanix.com/dvine5.html

Any thoughts on Cases, Cooling, and Overall would be appreciated.....

What about IR rcvr and VFD... built into case or mobo? How? Where?

1.) Get an NV Silencer for the GT, it will help with overall cooling and make the card near silent but if you're just using the svideo out it's kind of a waste of a good card. A 6200 would be more then sufficent in that case.

2.) 1 gig of memory would be fine, you could probably reuse the rest in another system maybe?

3.) The case only uses MATX powersupplies, if want to replace you'll need to get this: http://www.pcalchemy.com/product_in...supply-apmp4atx45-retail/cName/power-supplies

4.) The case comes with a VFD but it doesn't have any sort of IR receiver for a remote, you'll have to either mod the receiver into the case or just let it hang around outside the case.

Any remote you purchase will be USB.
