Is there any news about the prices dropping on the P4s, like the 2.4C? I'd really like to complete my upgrade sometime before I die, but 160 for a 2.4C is a little too much for my budget.

Intel phases out P4's around $175, they tend to very slowly drop in price from there. And generally you won't find any good value/deals for a P4 CPU below $150ish. Very rare to get a current generation P4 core below that, regardless of clockspeed.

Well, I guess you will have to die then.... As long as Intel has/maked Celeron line, their main P4 line pricing will not drop below $100 point. Sorry, you must die now...:D

Well, if they won't drop, i'll get the cheapest new cpu, which looks like the 2.8 on that site. About the same as a 2.6C....need a job bad.
