Can someone recommend me a power supply for a Pentium 4 cpu and motherboard?

Can you be more specific as to what hardware you have and in particular whether the system is AGP based or PCIe based.

Afaict on AGP based P4 systems while the CPU ran on 12V most of the rest of the system including the GPU ran on 5V and/or 3.3V.

Therefore while something like a CX430 will probablly be OK on most systems of that era I could see a system with power hungry cards pushing it over the edge. What are the rest of the specs of the system?

Trouble is the only way to get higher 5V or 3.3V power seems to be either to go for a PSU from an off brand vendor that is almost certainly based on an old inefficient design or to crank up the total rated power considerablly.

The Corsair CX430 would be perfectly sufficient for even a high-end P4 system.
