I have a computer here that I threw together out of old parts. I use it as a server and it's on 24/7. The CPU I have in it is a 3.4ghz P4 Prescott which we all know is very power hungry. To save on the electric bill i'm trying to find a list of all socket 478 processors and their power usage so I can find one that uses the least amount of power that is still available. Anyone have a link to such data?

If the kind of work that server's doing isn't terribly demanding, a Socket 478 Celeron might fit the bill. A partial listing of Celeron thermal specifications can be found at http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/celeron-d_6.html , but as iroc409 pointed out the big daddy reference site is at http://processorfinder.intel.com/ .
An original Northwood-core Celeron at 2.0 GHz would have a TDP of 52.8 watts, but is likely to run significantly below that because of its puny 128k of L2 cache. However, it would also be a really massive performance downgrade... I used to have one, and seem to remember a 1.4 GHz Thunderbird taking it to the mat at nearly everything. Slower Northwood P4s will likely give comparable TDP ratings and offer far superior performance.
Just in case you'd be willing to go with a Celeron D, I'd be willing to trade a Celeron D 325 (2.53 GHz, TDP of about 70 watts) and throw some cash your way for that 3.4 Prescott. If that's not enough of a power reduction, http://www.starmicro.net/ usually has good deals on older Pentium 4 chips.

It has a TDP of 66.2W. It is a Northwood, runs much cooler than a socket 478 Prescott. Has Hyperthreading and runs @ a 800fsb.
It would be a little slower then your 3.40e but probably not noticeably so, and would run much cooler.
You could probably find one used in the for sale section or on ebay very cheap.
