P4 Northwood = socket 478?

I have a P4c 3Ghz HT still in my HTPC keeping everything smooth.

I have the original BTX set-up. Shall I spend $30 on 1gb of DDR333, or $60 on a new mobo and 1gb of DDR2 ?

Mainly a web surfer for my back enclosed porch.

Yes Northwood kick some butt, as much as people say netburst sucked a A64 ruled that era they often forget about the high clocking northwoods holding their own

I have 3 Northwoods, a 1.7ghz, 2.4gig, and the kickass 3.06-533 still running strong. .
(All 3 are skt 478 of course).

So, what do you say? Fire it up w/ the stock Dell BTX, or I can get a Biostar socket 478 for $45ish and 2 x512mb of DDR2 533 for under $20. The benefit of the latter is I can use my 2600XT also.

Yeah, so....

I went to MC to see if I could find an old S478 laying around. Ended up walking w/ a Athlon 64 x2 5600, an MSI mATX mobo, and 2gb of Corsair XMS2 for $110 out the door.

So I guess I still have this old P4 Dell laying around. :/

I,ve been jumping boats since the k2, went from that to a northwood 3.0ghzeek:that was mind-blowing) to a 5000x2 blacky, and now just bought a q6600, lets see what happens next.
