OK I have read a few threads in here about the HT. I have a AMD 2600@2224 that runs 100% all the time. However When I fold on my Laptop it only shows it at like 52%. My Laptop is a P4 2.8 HT 800FSB with 512 DDR400. I was wondering why it only shows as a 52% load. Is my laptop thermal throttling kicking in or does it have something to do with the Hyper Threading? Also I see a few of you fold 24/7 on your laptops. Does this affect the lifespan of your laptop? I know when mine has a load it gets HOT!!! and the squirrel cage fans kick in and its loud. What is the life span and is there some way I can set it up as to not damage anything. I do have the 3 year Parts and labor warranty from Dell. I have over 2 years left. I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 (9lb boat anchor) 2.8 HT 512 DDR and mobility radeon 9700. Thanks for the support and glad to be on the #1 folding team. I folded for a long time without a team, glad to have someplace to congregate. My garden is a 2600 AMD, 500MHZ AMD, P3 450 and the 2.8 Laptop. I have borged 2 PC's at work but may lose them as thye are supposed to be shutdown overnight for security reasons. Any Ideas to keep these up chime in.
