Hello, i currently have folding@home graphical client running on my new dell poweredge server. Its a p4 2.8GHz with HT on.

Someone said i might be able to run two console versions on this computer, one on each "virtual CPU".

Is this possible?

And if so, do i just make two directories each with a FAH console, -local -config them, give each a diffrent machine ID, and then just open up the task manager and set one program to CPU1 and the other to CPU2? Is there anything else that i would need to do or should know about?

~Thanks

Fold on!

You pretty much have it. 2 directories such as fold1 and fold2. Download the client and put one copy in each dir.

When you run your –configonly make one machine #1 the other #2.

Use –forceasm and –local as your switches and your set.

Expect about a 15% increase in your output..it’s not much but it helps with your points.

Luck, fold on

In that case, ill just let it finish its current WU and then give two F@H's a try.

~Thanks again.

This is good. I can also use this tip for the P4 in our media center that i have folding.
