Usually if your processor is not connected properly it will beep. My computer does not beep unless i take the processor completely out. Can the processor still be detected and faulty, therefor not beep?

Or it could be the board doesnt like the proc, might need a bio update or the proc is to fast. It could also be a ram or PSU issue.

weve used two different mobos and also 3 diff vid card (agp, pci) And we still cant get a video signal. Tried 3 diff types of pc2700 ram as well. Ive previously built a computer with the same exact components so I dont know the problem.

Well if it doesnt work in a board you know is good then it has to be bad.

Do you have access to another chip? try a known good chip in the board see it it boots. If it doesnt obviously you are doing something wrong. If it does boot up then you have a bad chip.

What speed is this P4? Some boards will not let you boot if it is a 800FSB processor with 2700ram.
